Capturing unconditional love with pet portraits

The bond we have with our pets is like no other, that’s why we view them as treasured members of the family.

Have you ever found yourself having a conversation with your dog whether it’s to vent about your busy day at work, or asking them a question you know they won’t answer “do you have any idea where I’ve put my keys Mia?” Well you are not alone!

Meet Mia my Cockapoo.

Lichfield pet photography

She has been with us for 4 months and is the perfect addition to our family. She is extremely loving, adores joining us on our adventures & enjoys playing with other pups her size.

With our love for dogs forever growing it is not uncommon to want to capture that bond. Whether it’s a family portrait with your fur baby or for them to be the star of the show on their own.

I offer both indoor at the studio or outdoor portraits at my local park here in Lichfield (Darnford Park).

There is also the option for an outdoor setting of your preference within a 20-mile radius for an additional cost.

A family photo shoot would take no longer than 1 hour and up to 30 minutes of your pet alone.

Dogs can be easily distracted (yes they still think that random noise was naughty Mr. Fox waiting outside for them, you know the one they spotted in the garden a while back). With this in mind, please bring along their favourite toys or treats to catch their attention! (Toys are best if your dog tends to drool for food).

Your pets safety during the shoot is the most important consideration, so if they are required to be kept on a lead this is not an issue as it can be edited out.

Please get in touch if you are thinking of creating some paw-some freeze frame moments of your beloved pet!

Tips –

It’s always a good idea to take your dog a walk an hour before the photo shoot to burn off some energy, this way they are more likely to be relaxed and ready for their close up. However if the portraits you desire are of them in action, I would recommend against the walk.

Do not bring them on a full stomach if possible, dogs are more alert and willing to respond to treats this way.

Please note – the studio will be deep cleaned before each use to ensure that any allergy sufferers are kept safe.

My dog Mia is also a hypoallergenic breed and is kept out of the studio before & while in use.
